It is important to anyone of us to feel we belong, that we are supported and cared for. If this has not been the case lately then look at how you can reach out and find someone to speak to.

Feeling like you belong


It is important to anyone of us to feel we belong, that we are supported and cared for. If this has not been the case lately then look at how you can reach out and find someone to speak to. Belonging is important as it gives us the security and support, where we are accepted and included as part of the wider group and where we can be ourselves.

In the first instance, try not to judge yourself for feeling as you do. It is perfectly okay to feel the way you do and it’s okay to speak to up about it.

Here are some ideas to try out:

🤓Try and create a community of your own, find something you’re passionate about and seek others that also have similar interests.

🤓Speak to a teacher or counsellor from your school and see if there is any upcoming events or communities that you could volunteer to help with. This is a great way to get to know other people and learn something new.

🤓 Take the time to journal about your feelings and keep telling yourself that you belong, you are unique, you matter.

🤓 Don’t forget to respect, care and be kind to yourself. Remember your value!
