Corporate social responsibility and wellbeing

What is corporate social responsibility?

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) outlines an organisation’s ethical outlook and undertaking of activities to impact not only the workplace but society, the environment and the economy. It clearly demonstrates to customers, stakeholders and employees that a business is about so much more than its bottom line. It cares about social, environmental and economic factors affecting society too and will add value in each of these areas wherever it can. CSR is no longer a ‘nice to have’. It’s now vital for attracting customers (who want to work with companies who give back) and recruiting and retaining talent.

How CSR ties into employee wellbeing

CSR is essentially a mission to positively impact the wellbeing of the community. Given that an organisation’s greatest asset is its people, it makes sense that corporate responsibility should begin with a move to look after employees’ wellbeing.

A CSR wellbeing initiative increases employee engagement and job satisfaction. It leaves staff feeling valued and empowered to make positive contributions. If an employee believes in an organisation’s CSR efforts, they’re more likely to be advocates of the business and are more driven as well as productive. Not only this, they’re happier and have reason to be proud of the company they work for (effectively reducing staff turnover).

HOW WE CAN HELP

We turn difficult situations into positive outcomes.

Understanding mental health isn’t easy. Using technology and an effective proactive approach, we can improve happiness and save lives in the workplace, education and sports organisations.

Connect

People are invited to check in on a digital device and answer a series of short, friendly questions. This takes less than two minutes and is simple to engage with.

Identify

Check-in results on the Govox wellbeing dashboard instantly highlight those who may benefit from some support, enabling organisations to have the conversations that matter.

Support

After each check in, the participant will receive their own personal wellbeing report, which offers proven wellbeing techniques tailored to their specific answers.

"We wanted to do the best we could to respond and support the NHS during the first few weeks and months of COVID-19. We chose to partner with Govox, a UK founded business, that provides a platform focused around trying to help people share and express their emotions. It also allows our internal leadership to use the platform to pinpoint exactly how people are doing and who needs additional support."

William Monaghan

Director of Operations, NHSX

We have partnered with Govox to offer a unique and interactive way to include everyone (and every player) in the conversation around tackling the stigma and making the conversation a normal one."
