Burnout

In a recent article on LinkedIn, burnout was the topic of focus and Author Daniel J Fox describes it as a combination of "emotional exhaustion, depersonalisation, and reduced feelings of personal accomplishment".

It can be misunderstood that people can only experience burnout in a work situation. This is not the case, it can be brought on as a result of an individual not enforcing personal boundaries that protect their wellbeing. The inability to say no to professional and personal commitments can lead to someone feeling anxious and frustrated and overwhelmed.

You need to take responsibility for yourself. What can you put in place to help with your workload, if things at home are overwhelming then how can you either delegate or ask for help and support.

It could be about working smarter not harder; learning to say no when you need to and to focus on the higher value activities daily. The Govox check in can help with this, take the opportunity to check in on yourself, make sure you are finding a balance and to also make the reasonable adjustments you need.

Here are some helpful tips to help with burnout.
