Phastar is a specialist biometrics contract research organization offering statistical consulting, clinical trial reporting, data management and data science services by providing expert consultants and managing and delivering in-house projects.

Phastar’s Employee Value Proposition - The +ve impact on business culture 

Following the strategic global launch of Phastar’s new Employee Value Proposition and the integration of the Govox platform, the business has already reaped the following benefits: 

• Increased support from senior stakeholders, on the benefits of their Employee engagement strategy 

• Employee Happiness Index has increased month on month since the launch of the partnership, peaking at 78%, ranking Phastar in the top decile of companies supported by Govox 

  •        Recruitment & Retention data is already showing promising signs of improvement 

• Employee engagement in the programme has averaged 70% quarter on quarter.  This is due in part, to the embedded launch campaign which involved: 

  • Engaging Phastar’s leadership team to open up about their own challenges and 

  • Training a number of employees to be Mental Health First Aiders and proactively integrating them into the support pathway for their colleagues 

 

With the quality of Govox’s data now available, Phastar’s senior leadership team are already taking action on these insights, by understanding what is working, what needs more focus and prioritising the initiatives that will positively impact their colleagues. Some of these include: 

  • Enhancing their flexible working offering through piloting their new ‘Compressed hours’ policy– leveraging self-managed hours tracking well 

  • Work/Life balance scores improving 

  • Seeing a rise in engagement, sentiment, and awareness of Phastar’s EVP 

  • Implementing guidance and learning provisions which place a greater awareness on areas such as Women’s health, Menopause and trouble sleeping. 

 

Companywide strategic investment has been approved, based on these insights to: 

  • Recruit an Employee Engagement & Communications Specialist 

  • Increase the frequency of internal employee communications 

  • Proactively hire into strategic positions 

  • Level up the regional and international social calendars 

  • Prioritize Q1 & Q2 EVP initiatives 

  • Implement an employee development & benefits review  

  • Integrate employee engagement and communications feedback into Company Board meetings
