Hartpury University and Hartpury College

Awarding winning Hartpury University & Hartpury College puts Govox Wellbeing at the heart of their Student Experience strategy, to identify students that have not yet accessed their internal welfare services.

Back

Hartpury University and Hartpury College, formerly Hartpury College, a provider of further and higher education, describes itself as specialising in the "agriculture, animal, equine, sport and veterinary nursing" sectors. The university and college is set in a 360-hectare estate located in Hartpury, near Gloucester, in Gloucestershire, England.

Recognised by Ofsted in 2019, when they rated Hartpury’s pastoral care and support for residential students – most of whom are living away from home for the first time – as ‘Outstanding’.

Hartpury continues to innovate & focus on student pastoral care.  In 2021 they integrated the Govox Wellbeing platform into their Mental Health & Wellbeing strategy, to provide proactive student support via the Check Ins and actionable insights derived from the new data.

“Hartpury University and Hartpury College have been using the Govox wellbeing check-in for over a year now and it has become a useful tool providing insightful information about the wellbeing of our students and staff. It is embedded within our Mental Health & Wellbeing strategy and the check-in process supplements and enhances our onsite wellbeing services for both students and staff.

Like all educational institutions, promoting positive mental health and wellbeing is an integral part of our corporate strategy.  Demystifying mental health and wellbeing, ensures we create an open and transparent culture where staff and students feel able to talk about their wellbeing. The Govox wellbeing check-in has identified students that have not accessed our internal services and this has been hugely beneficial creating a platform where students have, through the completion of the check-in, been able to get the correct support in place.”

Head of Client Services – Govox

“Campus life can be stressful as young students move away from home for the first time and especially this post Covid cohort, are finding this transition harder.  Being able to support the Hartpury University and Hartpury College Safeguarding team has been a pleasure.

The Govox Platform is already identifying students who have been struggling but, as yet, haven’t reached out to existing support services. These students are feeling confident to speak up through the platform and access the support available to them.”
